I delivered a keynote on applying hostage negotiation techniques (based on C. Voss's Never Split The Difference) to user interviews. The presentation also covered how to conduct user interviews from start to finish, including the tools to use and how to synthesize findings for stakeholders. At the end, I led a practical workshop with participants.
Keynote Topic
My keynote was titled "Hostage Negotiation: Techniques in User Interviews" and was based on C. Voss's Never Split The Difference. I explained how I apply his lessons during product user research interviews. I received overwhelmingly positive feedback from both the organizers and participants.
Overview
I co-organized a 2-day remote technology and music summit, including onboarding, scheduling and moderating panels with senior employees and C-suite executives from Amazon, IBM, VividQ, Facebook, RecycleGo, Equinox Media, Turing, PowerToFly, META, NYU, peaq, Creative People Inc., Bird, Rocket, Womin.io, and more (overall 20+ companies).
Why Future Tech Festival?
My co-founders and I at LiveRoom Media decided to host a 2-day remote tech festival to launch our livestreaming platform. During the event, over 10 artists performed live on LiveRoom, with each performance averaging USD 75 for 30 minutes. The festival played a key role in boosting both engagement and revenue.
